Welcome to the Texas Engineering and Technology Education Community Forum! We're thrilled to have you join our vibrant network of educators dedicated to advancing engineering and technology education in Texas. This is a space for sharing ideas, resources, and experiences that can enrich our teaching practices and inspire our students. We encourage you to introduce yourself, explore discussions, and contribute your insights. Together, we can create a powerful community that supports and empowers each other in shaping the future of engineering and technology education.
Let's get started!, I am Dr. Mark Crenshaw and I started this community as I am new to Texas. A little about my background, Navy Disabled Veteran after having flown around and jumped out of helicopters for a number of years, then separated from the service to start my teaching career. l began my teaching journey in Georgia as a MS Engineering and Technology Education teacher, then taught high school, taught a few years at Clemson University in the school of education preparing other Engineering and Technology Education future teachers, served as a CTE Director, CEO/Principal of a College and Career Academy, and state Department of Education STEM Engineering Program Specialist. Retired in 2023, journeyed to the Houston area to be near kids and grandkids, worked as a Director of STEM at private school in North Houston, and have now re-entered the classroom workforce as and Engineering and Robotics Instructor with Friendswood ISD. I am excited to be back. I have been a member of ITEEA most of my career and serve as the Texas State Champion. I would highly encourage you to join our professional teaching organization and if you have any questions please feel free to reach out.
